Aco Your paragraph 4. There is no point in sending European Assistant Superintendent, tọ India until he is in position to offer definite terms and to arrange for the early return of those required. Already have information regarding undesirables and, until definite torms are settled and offered, the men concerned cannot be expected to say if they are willing to return. Ujajar Singh, Clerical Officer, has already been sent to India to arrange leave pay and pensions and is in touch with the men.
5. This is becoming increasingly urgent not only on account of the expense, delay and undesirability of leaving the men in uncertainty as to their position, but chiefly because the re-establishment of the Indian Force at the earliest possible date is vitally necessary for reasons of internal security. If the police Force is not capable of performing all duties required of it by March, 1947, it may be necessary to request the retention of No. 3 Commando Brigade in the Garrison after that date.
